Linux can also be infected by a virus. I think dili lang siya grabe na virus compare nimo sa Windows. Pero lisud ma-infected ang Linux sa virus kay 1. Ang root account is highly not recommended for normal usage, 2. Ang mga installed files have checksum value. Na compare nimo siya kung equal ba ang checksum sa imong file ug sa downloaded file.

Desktop Environments(DE):

Windows Manager(WM):

Ang Windows Manager merely provides windows or GUI for you applications. There are no tools (usually) to configure your screen resolution, printer, etc. etc. Configuring your system will usually require editing configuration text files like xorg.conf, menu.list, etc. etc. Mas lisod ni siya i-tweak kaysa DE. Sa ako nabasahan 30 ra kuno ka buok ang known viruses on Linux- most ani dili na kaayo "active". sa 1 ka tuig nako nga gamit sa Linux, wa pa jud ko maigo ug malware and my Ubuntu/Linux Puppy boxes are not equipped with anti-virus/anti-spyware. Ang importante dili ka molog on as root user. When you are logged on as a root user to your Linux OS, you can do anything to the system without requiring a password. Daghan na man kaayo games sa Linux. Dili lang pareho ka polished ug kadaghan sa Windows, saunz gamay ra man tang mga linux users, dili sila kapanguwarta.

Im using a centos linux but im a newbie and I would like to know kung unsaon pag.connect sa network using DHCP? kay ako gibuhat ky ako ra gi-obtain pero dli mn gihapon mka network og mka internet.. ako lng pangutana kng unsaon kaha ang mga mga command like parihas sa windows nga mag ipconfig /renew, ipconfig/release. unsa ang equivalent sa linux ani?
