I travel to Manila quite a few times every year for business and before Big Mao was born in Cebu, Big Buddha was already having a booming business in Manila. The concept is the same (I guess Big Mao got its concept from Big Buddha), with the woks, etc.
I loved that place. When Big Mao opened in Cebu, it reminded me of Big Buddha coz there really were a lot of similarities, right down to the large ("Big") servings they had.
Well, I hadn't eaten there for some time, and a few nights back my family decided to have dinner at Big Mao in Crossroads. My gosh. It was such a big difference.
The servings were smaller and the prices had gone up. Now, I don't mind a steep price if it's for value, but that dinner really felt like a rip off. There was no value for money in it at all.
Now, I'm just wondering: is it just me or do others feel the same?
