Haha... Miles Davis is cool. Bought my dad a Miles Davis shirt this Christmas. Ako papa nag-influence nako ug jazz. Chuck Mangione is my favorite. Though naa pa daghan mga CDs niya sa balay which I usually get to listen pero dili lang kaayo ko keen sa mga names sa artists ug songs. Listener lang jud and just enjoying the music.

hehe i like jazz pero mura tanan na mention diri puro man mga players... i love jazz pero i dont really dig deep too much on the genre. kung unsa lang ako ma uyonan

@meowa: how was the blues gig last wednesday? any youtube links from the gig..

i must say, the gig last dec. 12 was better than the dec. 19 one. don't really know why, tho i guess its coz some of the songs were repeats na lang from the previous week. the dec 12 was really great coz there was more improvisation and different musicians came on board.

don't know if anyone was shooting video.

Lee Ritenour is what everyone would classify a session guitarist, although some mainstream musicians dont classify him strictly as a jazzman, but IMHO, he'd make a good jazz guitarist, especially with his personal tribute(own compositions) to the legendary Wes Montgomery....i'd say he's a jazzman. He's also very versatile and did recordings with brazilian artists, especially those that spearheaded the Tropicalia movement the likes of Caetanao Veloso, Ivan Lins, Joao Bosco and Djavan. He's a big idol of mine, one of the best!
