The thing is bai , I called and confirmed it an hour early before the cut off time . Ang traffic sa LA is very predictable ang time lapse niya but circumstances na ma late gyud ko because of accident sa dalan that caused the traffic . They said yes but when I got there late of half an hour , wala na ako seat . Ok fine , but at least I was given the chance of availing the next flight pero ako na man gi himong CHANCE PASSENGER nuon pero sa kaluoy sa Ginoo naa ni back out so nakasud the next day , ok fine pero at least HOTEL ACCOMODATIONS wala !! Though I cant bitch anything more kay wala man pod ko gi pa BID hehehe .

pananglitan what if you miss your international flight. Understood na that you have to pay the airline a fee for missing the flight. the ticket is already fully paid. do you have to pay more because sometimes the airline is fully book for the this week and following week and they can only book you one week after or later..
can they tell you that you have to pay more because fares changes every week or season.

do you have to pay the difference between the agents ticket price to the airlines ticket price.

Hmm NW usually offers hotel accomodations but come to think of it , they probably felt that it wasn't something totally beyond control mao you weren't given that. Well ana jud na ang airlines, di jud maluoy. That's why I always tell customers to show up at the airport early to avoid delays esp nowadays with the increased security. If you missed your flight and they allow for a reaccomodation but you're on standby or chance for the next available flight.

@cool: yes pabayron kag penalty for international flights it's usually 200usd plus the fare difference in most cases. Depende ra if maluoy ang airport counter nga pabalikon ka nga n free imo reaccomodation for the next flight. Delikado if your airfare rule states that no changes made to the outbound flight (which a lot of international airfare are)...patay..lost value

Well I was never a NW flyer bai ... never but I have no choice kay the govt payed for it and not me. I am a PAL and Cathay regular customer thats why I just feel " nabag-uhan " sa NW services because I was well pampered by the 2 airlines I mentioned earlier .

In fairness sa Plane Always Late heheh or PAL I have not encountered tough issues...ang kanindot nila is that mostly refundable ila tickets.

Ang paet is that you get a nonref ticket issued by one airline but the plane taking you to your destination is with another airline and you missed your flight...taypats ka kay pasa-pasahon ka sa mga airlines ana and manghugas ug kamot. Samot pa if they know it was issued by a travel agency....pasahon pud ka to the travel agency who at that point is powerless .

A word of advice...always double check your airline purchase esp if its done online, call the vendor right away after you made the purchase esp within 24 hours coz pwede pa ma void ang ticket if something's amiss. And make sure to double check your flight schedules kay I've seen stranger things happen....esp kanang last minute airline sked change...I experienced customers complaining that they missed their flights because the airline changed their sked from evening to a morning flight on the night before the scheduled departure.

this might be true... before i purchased my ticket for the Philippines, i called two travel agencies & the 1st one said that all seats are full for cathay airlines & the next available seats would be in june 4 and the price was $1500. the 2nd agency said that they have available seats for only $1100 b4 may 20...so i put the fon down & decided to go 4 d 2nd agency. 2 minutes after, i called back and they said it was full. i was just pissed at the lady and she changed the price to $1440 if i had reserved it...both travel agencies have different prices for their plane tickets w/ the same airlines. i only fly w/ cathay pacific coz its direct cebu & i had a bad experience w/ PAL that's why i will never fly w/ them again & i don't lyk stopping in manila coz a lot of inspections & they still asked for money...so,maybe this is really true that the plane tickets are up for bids.

Not yet....in your case it depends upon availability...prices fluctuate. Both agencies get availability on a real time basis most likely those are published airfares (meaning agencies getting the seats from the airline inventory directly and also getting the pricing directly)....probably what happened was Agency 1 saw it was 1500...but when you called agency 2 availability for a lower airfare was made available (prolly from passengers who cancelled or airline just putting out more seats). But when you tried to book it BOOM wala na...since Agency 2 is not the only one who has access to those seats. Until it is purchased...rates are not guaranteed.
