1 way links that related to your site is the trend right now.

Example nag submit ka sa imo links to 1000 directories.

Yeah, it is the one of the best thing but the problem here is the other websites.. dili bya na sila mag post sa ila sites kung dili pud nimo ibutang ang ila sites in exchange sa imo. Although One way link is much better compare to 2 ways link... sakto bah heheheeh

1. Submitting an article to an article directory given that its unique. You can just search for an article you like and change 30% out of it.
2. Submitting to website directories.
3. Putting your website as signature in the forums.
4. Making an RSS blog and point your website using it.
5. Submitting to Social Bookmarking website like Digg, De.li.cio.us, Spurl etc
6. You can pay high PR website for 1-way links but make sure its relevant to your site.
7. Submitting your site to Pingoat.com

Reciprocal linking is still viable if both your website complement each other. If you're website its still new Google will put it in a sandbox(you're not listed in SERP although your site is indexed) and will release you in about 6-8 months. But there are ways to lessen the time by aggressive link building in natural way.
