I watched the movie an hour ago. This is a good film. But I doubt it could win an award internationally. Comedy ra kaayo and you know panagsa ra ko kadungog ug naay comedy nga nakadaug ug award.

Its a novelty and the acting is better than the others. I want this kind of filmmaking to continue. Its a breakthrough here. I gave the film 4 stars out of 5.

    just saw the movie.

Robin Padilla and Ruffa Mae Quinto tones down their comedy on this Mark Meily film. It tackles the obsession of Filipinos in getting a US Visa, in the hopes that their lives will change, and will do practically anything to get it.

You will notice cameo appearances by Berwin Meily, Mark Meily, Earl Ignacio, Raymart Santiago, Dante Rivero and even my long time friend Lizzie Yatoko who plays the maid. The Passion Choir adds spice and comedy with their witty songs.

The script is fresh and well-written. Johnny Delgado, who plays Sancho Huson, touches certain issues of the Tagalogs such as the usage of "titi", "puki" and "pwet" when referring to ones privates. Why is it considered malicious when there is no other term in Tagalog. No dramatic, over exaggerated dialogues in this film, except for one scene which was delivered lightly but yet quite effective.

The movie, in a surreal moment, also touches the issue of Foreigners entering the country without the hassles of acquiring a Visa from our own consuls.

The texture of the film is very Filipino, even the issues being tackled would make viewers think and laugh.

Another must see movie from Unitel Productions of Tony Gloria.
