    mao sad!

siguro 6 or 7 out of 10 people don't know what the oblation run is really for. mura'g ang mga tag UP ra man siguro ang nakasabot GYUD ana. hinuon lahi man gyud na sila kay naa man na sila'y ilang charter.

but for the 3rd time, to you it may be symbolic but to the general public it is nothing but something to laugh about on the papers every year.

    OT: hahahahhahah

Yes we respect traditions but like most other traditions, it doesn't have anything value adding. another protester can do it with full clothes on, will it diminish the worth of the protest?

Still, from a female point of view, it's fun to see guys running around naked while trying very hard to hide their faces. Why not improve the "tradition" and run around without masks or paint?
"JUST A WOMAN? Oh honey no!

You cite wikipedia? What school do you go to anyway?
is it a crime to cite wikipedia? the purpose why i gave you the link is to provide reinforcement to the statements in my previous posts. if you're suspicious about the content of that article, then verify it yourself. if you're dissatisfied with the link i gave you, then try to look for other sources on your own. i won't insult your capability to research by spoon-feeding you.

It's that hard to make a placard huh? Bottomline is that majority of the members who run during the oblation run doesn't care much about the things being protested. Basta makadagan inig oblation.
you missed entirely the point. do you think it is just the placard per se that matters? what is important are the words written on these placards. these words are students' sentiments on campus and national issues. crucial issues that requires attention.

Yes, we know who joins the run and from what chapter they come from.
do you? you take me by surprise. how could you reprove APO-UP's oblation run when you're an APO member yourself? i take that as an open fire to your own barracks.

i failed to see the perspective of commoners? then why am i in this thread?
this is what the discussion is all about, isn't it? to get a glimpse of the perspective of both sides.
die hard? let me rebuff that by saying fanaticism is not my approach.

basin gi-bunal pa siguro na sa inyo pag sulod ninyo sa pangets, that's understandable and even laudable.
if you read my previous post, i unmistakably stated that i am not an APO member and i am not in any way affiliated with them. do you want me to reiterate it again? HINDI AKO APO MEMBER.

For a country like the Philippines maybe thats a big issue. But in other countries murag common namn na nga mag protest usahay mag naked man.Naa gani for the sake of Guiness record thousands post naked.

APO tradition kung unsa man ni dili na gyud ni mausab unless naay ipasa nga laye nga i ban na ang oblation.

would it be too much if i ask you to read my posts carefully?
    fanaticism is not my approach
is being open-minded synonymous to fanaticism?

    or your from UP yourself?
why do you want to know? does it matter?

    APO/UP's stupid tradition.
"There is no difference between the misinformed and the uninformed"
what's worst? those who refuse to be informed.

you're saying that fanaticism is not your approach but it does seem like it.

i just want to know if your indeed from UP to justify your being "die hard" but if you refuse to answer that then it is your prerogative.

regarding the oblation, it is not about being uninformed or misinformed, eitherway, it is still a stupid act regardless of their cause, reason or justification. the end doesn't justify the means. why can't they just do a normal protest with their clothes on like anybody else or dress up like chickens in boy scouts uniform to attract attention. hehehe!!!
