Really? How much do you really know about the Chinese and Indian education systems? Perhaps it'd be wise not to make a statement like this that (a) might not be true, and (b) might offend certain people.

Yes, but it is the medium of instruction in almost all schools (well, not in China, but in India, anyways). This topic is about English as a medium of instruction. And... the way it is used as a medium dictates how well students learn it!!

We have this mis-informed idea (oh, we're way better than the others) - which might be true, in some cases - but the thing is (and it's been mentioned here), while everyone else is actuallly doing something about their state of ignorance as far as English is concerned... what are we doing?

yes maybe its true.. but language cant push countries forward.. china and india are more advance than philippines..
