lots of bright heads here huh! lots of ideas... color separation when done the ultimate is the photoshop 7 or higher up to CS3. corel and illustrator are just but best vector imaging softwares, meaning flat/solid colors are so crisp with no jagged edges, unlike in photoshop when the resolution is low the pixels are low, and it doesnt come out good when converted into halftones for t shirt silkscreen printing preparation. Here: 1. jpegs are split (in cmyk) for complex colors like naa paprinta kandidato sa election. all those splitted cmyk becomes grayscale automaticallly, color source doesnt come out crisp or sharp unlike when converted to gryscle. Fastfilms yes, it is an automation prog under file menu sa photoshop, pero modaghan lang ang screens. many screens means most costly sa t shirt printing, gusto mo complete knowledge, hands on and actual demonstration adto lang mo amo production, kat-on mo simple and easy.....

*Corel Draw is the fasting Vector based designing application followed by illustrator ( which im using right now. )

corel can automatically separate or do color separation via the printing menus.

illustrator and ( the then ) macromedia freehand can do as well. used these apps arleady.
use a black only output laswer printer for crisp image and halftones.

    * photoshop can also color separate thru channel splitting which can then be imported to corel / placed in illustrator or freehand.

this technique is very reliable if you dont have a black only laserprinter ( naa daghan colored laser printer : xerox.hp.etc ) to be specific.

so if u say.. corel cant color separate..ur a noob.

i gave up using corel coz of its color imaging compatibility with photoshop > which works best with illustrator.

    read more and apply..

    spot or tones.

    corel can handle it.

but not color indexing ( used in palstisol printing on both white or black shirt and colors in between )
