No icon for my hard disk(maxtor)

mga bro,

already done my part for this subject...
hope matabangan ko ninyo ani!

ang hard disk ma detect in starting or rebooting my pc
but after that... no icon for that drive(hard disk) sa my computer...

anyone there...?

Try going to Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management


Under Disk Management, check if your drive is there. You might need to format the drive or activate the partition for it to show up sa My Computer.

use partition magic to detect your harddisk. then format it, consistent sa imong file system nga imong gigamit.

try daw ug format ana master....kay kung partition imo pasabot ako partition xad sauna na ingon ana....kailangan pa diay to iformat...try day sir...

if it's new.. unpartitioned space pa na xa..

you need to format your HDD to NTFS or FAT32, whichever you're using.. but you can't use different filesystem on the same DISK..

can be done in seperate Physical Hard Disk though..

Dili ni bag o. 2nd hard disk ni sa akong pc(40hdd and 40hdd)
detect man xa after memory test nya...
dili pud ni xa partitioned...

have you set the master and slave jumper settings?

nakasuway ko before nga 2 kabuok akong master.. usa ra madetect.. but detected both on bootup..

btw, try daw sa lain nga pc and format it there, then balik na pud imu pc..

try pud i-slave or i-master xa sa imung cdrom ang usa ka hdd..
