NBA players ought to have kenistitic and vestibular senses like a cat, for them to know what are their position and where are they (up-down-right-left) in mid-air, collision or not, including limbs. Fortunately Holford have it but he's not using it that time, being a rookie is not an excuse. He is no perfect. Just human. But fault is fault. That's why NBA suspends him.

I know you said that on your part. You actually wrote it there. I know exactly what you said.

You didn't say na intentional foul to but it actually was an intentional foul on Horford's part. As i said before, you can't just let the guy get past at you bisan pa ug ga-una na cya sa pikas court. It's actually a "positive" part on Horford's side kay iya jud gigukod to challenge the shot. Unfortunately, bati ang outcome.

And that was no "career ending foul" because TJ is now fine. Also, you can't just put him on the court ASAP kay dili pa fully-healed.

I'm sure about Horford being human and all that. Certainly, situations like that occur in a spur of the moment and, with that said, s*** happens.

    THE LATEST

    PISTONS-BOBCATS TRADE

    Naa na jud trade nahitabo.

The Pistons traded center Nazr Mohammed to Charlotte on Friday and also waived forward Ronald Dupree.

The Pistons acquired center Primoz Brezec and forward Walter Herrmann in exchange for Mohammed, who appeared in every game this season except for Wednesday in Houston.

SMUSH PARKER ON HIS WAY OUT IN MIAMI

Smush Parker apparently has played his last game for the Heat.

Two sources familiar with the situation said Thursday the Heat is searching for trade options for the troubled point guard, who is eligible to be dealt starting Saturday.

I was thinking about a buyout but I don't think the Heat are willing to discuss about that.

Horford's act is an apparent sighting of a frustrated defender. u cant hammer ur arms with full force like that going into an attempt to block with the player's back on you, specially when the ball is obviously out of reach. Remember Artest on Big Ben?

Well, I've seen worst comments than this. Apparently, there are those people who can think how frustrated and useless the foul was then peppered with neverending examples and worst incidents that is related to the incident. Anyway, I'll just think of something here:

Okay, I entirely understand about Horford's mistake unto what happened.

It was an intentional foul BUT Horford did NOT intend to hurt TJ. Consider the scenario, two men playing basketball at the highest and fastest level which is the fastbreak; one small and very fast, and the other big and strong.

It was an absolutely normal play right there and there was a little chance the Horford is indeed going for TJ's head. What happened was that TJ moved his head between the ball and the defender (the reverse layup) and Horford tried to meet him at the top. The conclusion was; TOO much speed, momentum and change of direction to control something like that completely.

So, that is my complete analysis about what happened but I didn't say that Horford entirely the one not to blame. Everyone has its own fault and that's why there's a suspension. TJ was hurt and it will boil down to Horford's entire career on how to deal with things like this.

As for those who said the foul was pretty much USELESS and thought the game was pretty much over, then that could be somewhat of a reason that you lack perseverance in life. There was 1:30 left to go with your team down by 8.. 8 points ha, not a double-digit number. Pwede pa ka mo-foul to hold that lead then do something to trim that down and stay in the game. With that time left, NAA pa jud chance to win the game.

There, I was just sayin'. So, keep it comin'...

Players are not that perfect either, they're still bound to commit mistakes. But pretty sure Al Horford's intention was not to hurt TJ Ford but to challenge the shot, it's obvious in the replay. Ford just got him offguard and Horford wasn't able to go for a block. Players do have these abilities way better than other people, but still, again, they are not perfect. If they are, then there would be no more fouls, no more air collisions, and no more injuries because they have these "kinesthetic and vestibular senses like a cat".

OMG. i think we need to see the video (replay) again and again. using the word frustration is apt here. why? because ford stole the ball from him. in front of his eyes. then with that break away game ford is ahead for about 1 1/2 steps over horford. horford saw the ball. beyond reach despite his long-strong arms. the basketball and fords head is more that 24 inches apart. how could he hit his head like that? lack of motion anticipation is not an excuse. horford knows the game well, i knew. but in his mind, he knows he did something wrong. and that is whacking that hard. neither law of speed & momentum nor law of inertia would save his day. Raptor's coach shouldn't have reacted like that if there is nothing off beam in horford's game. if people plays basketball people understands the art of basketball and it's LIMITATIONS.

the bottom of it all... horford saw the ball on ford's way up to the basket. and he saw it clearly. way so distant from his head. and if he really dont want ford to make and easy two, then ford's arm/shoulder could have been hit that his head. im not happy for ford (even if he's healthy now) neither im happy with that dull defense horford has.

horford hits (whack) ford, wrong. NBA hits(discipline) horford back. right.

Al Horford saw the ball but never anticipated for TJ Ford to go for a reverse. The replays show that Ford was on Horford's farther right side before taking the shot. With his distance from Horford, instinct will tell that he'll go for an easy lay, not a reverse. Unfortunately, he shifted speed and direction and Horford went up first, when you're up there, there's nothing much you can do. Ford simply fooled Horford with the reverse.

What Horford did was the right thing, go for the foul. Too bad it hit the wrong target.
