deliberate or not it's still horford's fault. that's not defense. that could end ford's career. the way i see it, it's intentional. he know what he's doing.. as a player.

I understand statements like this. No matter what people think about the play and no matter how Horford explains about it, something will still take effect and that's the perception of the people who saw the actual play. For me, that was some sort of defense on his part. According to Horford, TJ fooled him into switching into a reverse lay-up instead of the usual lay-up. TJ is a quick player who can switch moves while Al is a big man with a quick reflex but is not quick enough to alter it. So, in that play, Horford's mind was set to go for the ball on the ensuing (supposedly) layup but, instead, hits TJ on the head.

A lot of people, including the Raptors fans and players, think that it was only a basketball play for Horford but this is not mostly the case. All in all, Horford didn't mean to do that. There were some who saw Horford's face after what happened and they didn't seem to think that it's deliberate.

So, bottomline, Horford didn't mean to do it; it was definitely clumsy on his part but there's no intent to injure. I understand a lot of people's frustration and disgust on what happened since that very well might have ended TJ's career.

That's on your part. But if you read more about the whole thing, you'll probably understand what happened. You can start by reading this link:

That's a good observation. Mao ni gi-huna2x jud kasagaran sa mga Raptors board nga ako nakit-an, but mostly rants about what Horford did.

I've seen the replay a lot of times and it might look like that Al Horford did it intentionally. But personally, I don't think so. TJ Ford went for a reverse lay-up and tried to protect the ball with the rim. Al Horford could have been got by the spur of the moment and probably surprised seeing that he can't get a block and just went for a foul, unfortunately, it was worse than it should be.

Atlanta rookie Al Horford suspended for one game

Atlanta Hawks rookie Al Horford will be serving a one game suspension without pay after he's being called for a flagrant foul penalty 2 in their game against the Toronto Raptors on guard TJ Ford. Horford hit Ford on the head which caused the Raptors guard to fall on the floor. Horford spent the whole night along with Ford in the hospital after the game. Horford will not be seeing action in the Hawks game against the Detroit Pistons.

Reports say that TJ Ford will only be missing for a week.

Yes, that's what I was trying to say. Pero it's already decided, Al Horford's going to sit his next game.
