    i've been reading here arguments that because the pundits of Edsa Dos got away with it then we should also let Trillanes get away with it.

    and we blame Gloria, the government, etc. for making the Philippines the "2nd most corrupt" country, is it?

    hayayay!!!

    in my opinion it's exactly the mentality that "eh siya nga ginagawa kahit bawal, bakit ako hindi" that got us Pinoys where we are. go to your city hall or your municipal hall, kahit nga sa barangay hall mo, you will see corruption there. corruption is not limited within Malacanang or the Senate, or the House of Congress. corruption is everywhere, even in private establishments.

    Gloria did not invent corruption.

    i am not convinced her administration is the most corrupt but i can't say with utmost certainty that it isn't.

    (kase naman hindi ibig sabihin na dahil hindi mo nakikita eh hindi na nangyayari.)

    i do think that corruptions during her presidency are the most visible. but what do you expect with all the free texting, cheaper internet connection, and the ever increasing number of tech-savvy Pinoys.

    plus, you have to give credit to the fact that Pinoys are a lot more mature and wiser now regarding their politics.

    but, ah! i digress...

    back to Mr. T.

    the Edsa Dos pundits got away with whatever it is you want to call it - rebellion, uprising, coup d etat churvaloo, because the people where there. i don't care if they were hakot. they were there.

    this is after all a democrazy, err, democracy, isn't it?

    a g 4 d ppol, etc. etc.

    now, if Trillanes can get the people there, through motivation or hakot or whatever means and he can somehow kick Glory out of Malacanang then he and his merry men (hmm, some of those faces at the Makati Pen incident look familiar. weren't these the same people at Edsa Dos? some of them have even won seats in Congress. i wonder how they're doing in Congress.) can get away with it.

    ~~~
    hmm, Gringo may not be so bad after all. let's think Tito, Pinochet, Franco
    Maski kinsa pana ang presidente i butang karon, mao ra ghapon i reklamo sa mga tao.
    Kung mao ra ghapon ang mga senator ug congressman wala ra ghapon kausaban.
    kung ganahan gyud mo ug change dapat dili ra ang presidente kung dili tanan ang ilisan.
    Sakto si Trillianes that a change is needed, pero how can he propose a change nga ang mu head mao raman ghapon ang mga kina-iya, same old politicians ra ghapon.
    If siya pud ang mag leader ayaw nalang, would rather stick with the current..
    In a perfect world rapud ni cya kay dugay pa gyud ni mo mature ato government.
    MANILA -- Malacañang said its refusal to release the P100 million worth pork barrel projects of Senator Antonio Trillanes IV might have been one of the reasons the Magdalo leader staged the Peninsula standoff last November 29.
    "While Trillanes was staging a coup d'etat, he was also trying to take advantage of this government by requesting the release of funds from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM). You could see how the fellow thinks. He thinks he could toy around with this government. While he is trying to topple this government he is also trying to demand funds from this government," he said.
    Apostol further said Trillanes should not be trusted and that the rebellion case against him is justified.
    Suspicion
    He said the government did not release the funds for Trillanes's projects on suspicion that he will use it to destabilize the government.
    "He's asking funds for allegedly certain projects but we have doubts if it will be used for projects because he has different agenda. So it's intended to finance his own agenda," Apostol said.
    Senator Antonio Trillanes IV reaction to the unfair and baseless accusation of His Wetness Apostol
    " This is to clarify recent news reports and headlines pertaining to my PDAF Allocation and yesterday’s court apology. “It had been my campaign promise to waive my PDAF allocation and I remain committed to that. However, I was informed by my Senate staff that since I am entering in the middle of the Fiscal year of 2007, half of the P200M PDAF allocation per senator is already part of the budget and, therefore, cannot be waived anymore. Otherwise, if the said amount would not be programmed, it would be like giving GMA a P100M blank check. Hence, I decided to have my PDAF funds programmed to various public hospitals all over the country as well as for the construction of school buildings. This is not a crime!
    However, what had been conveniently excluded in the reports is my letter to the Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile dated 28 Nov 2007, where I requested that my PDAF allocation for infrastructure projects be removed from next year’s budget which is exactly my campaign commitment.
    As regards the court apology, it was very clear in the manifestation filed that the apology was addressed to Judge Oscar Pimentel and the Court since they were never the object of our protest to begin with. We remain firm in our conviction that what we have is a morally bankrupt administration that the Filipinos never deserved. Moreover, standing up against the most corrupt president in history is not something to be ashamed of and definitely not something to be sorry for.
    Tuloy ang laban!
    (Signed) Sen. Antonio F. Trillanes IV"
