I have a A7V8X-X and AMD Duron 1300Mhz.
Updated my Mobo bios to ver. 1014.001 and my proc displays 866mhz only in the post. But in windows system properties it displays 1300mhz.
Is it my mobo or my Proc? can anyone do know something about this.

did you set the correct External Frequency for your CPU?.....

BIOS update tried already? your BIOS ver is 1014.001. I think its october 14, 2001

and you need to update beause your BIOS because is outdated 4 years ago.

Those kind of problem are usually the BIOS is unable to detect your proc.

1014.001 is dated 2005-1-19 update refer to this link:

external frequency (CPU) * Processor's mutliplier = total speed of your processor.

ex:
for AthlonXP 2400+

133 (external frequency of this proc) * 15 (this athlon's multiplier) = 1995 mhz

mao sad bitaw ako pangutana noh? ngano sa post 866mhz raman nga sa windows ang iyang ma detect is 1300Mhz...

anyways,

ang iyang BUS Frequency or External Frequency = 100mhz

so expect ko multiplier niya is 13....

pero ngano bitaw nga sa post raman mu display ug sayop weird....

A7V8X-X bios ver. 1009 ok iya display sa post 1300mhz. Pag upgrade nako ug 1013 ug 1014 iya display kay 866mhz nalang. Changing the CPU external frequency niabot siya ug 1329mhz but thats not normal it is overclocking.

sakto ka iya CPU external frequency kay 100/33 ug iya multiplier kay 13.0
So pila man angayan ani.
ako gi set ug 103/33 ug 13.0
any suggestion?

weird gud.... sa POST ra cguro na nga prob(imo man gud na-update imo bios)posible nga nadaut.but sa windows 1300mhz iya ma-detect.... WEIRD jud bai.
