Can the two most recent posters please tell me kung unsa ang Firmware Updates for the P990i's you just mentioned? Basig wala lol

I just saw someone with a P990i tapos R9 ang Firmware update plus a mod...ang screen nya mura nag SE P1i...hehehe...

syempre once na-ay new model ang phone upgraded version of the old one, i-phase-out na gyud na ang old model....but if u want a phone nga barato ra, at around 13t, unya can serve the purpose, better buy the P990i, ang ako kay naka serve sa akong needs, d na gud ko magdala ug laptop karon.....

I'm using P990i. latest firmware. World 2 R6E28.
Overall, it's slower than N73. Has RAM issues like you can't open too many apps. Phone size is definitely bigger than N73.

BUT, i'd still choose P990i over N73. It has WIFI and TouchScreen feature. And just like most Nokia phones, it's also a symbian phone which means there are a lot of apps available.

Contrary to what others are saying, Sound is ok. Disabling transition improves phone navigation. Cam is ok especially macro mode. (i guess some people don't know how to take pics.... maybe trigger happy?)

If you want to test the unit, check the ones made in france and with latest firmware.

Some people who used to have P990i post reviews as if all firmwares are the same. It's obvious they haven't tried the latest firmware. Tsk tsk. What they remember are those really irritating P990is w/ outdated firmware. Some are so pissed with the phone to the point that they sold their almost brand new units at a cheaper price. I was able to update 4 P990i units sold here @ Istorya. Most units are about 2 updates behind. The last unit i updated was sold 2 days ago.

P990i is not a perfect phone and as i've said, it's slow, has RAM issues and it's a big phone BUT it's stable enough if with the latest firmware. It's definitely good enough for me.

If you want to have Wifi and touch screen features, go for P990i.
If you want a slimmer/fast phone and with lots of memory for applications, go for N73.
