China will not invade the Philippine mainland, they only care about Taiwan. besides, arent you sick of US world domination? If push came to shove i would personally support the Chinese. The US dosent care about us, we dont prodivde them the same economic benefits of a Japan, South Korea, Iraq etc.. The only reason they would contemplate defending us is because they see China as a competitor to America's superpower status. In fact, allying with the United States is more likely to get us in a fight with China then vice versa

We are not sick and tired of US dominating in the world , we are after of being a country with a 100 % support from the US in terms of livelihood and economy . We dont need to be an ally for we are one already . Japan , S Korea , Iraq neither provided benefits to the US but the US molded on what they are today .

Japan is America's #1 trading partner i believe, or #2, Korea is up there as well, and Iraq.. its obvious, they have oil. We do not give US anything they want. I guess the difference between the Filipinos and say for example the Chinese is that we have no pride at all, in fact our public cant help but love the US too much

If it takes China to bomb us in 5 minutes because CHina is our enemy , it will only take the US to bomb CHina in probably 3 minutes to protect us from the CHinese . As a world power ally , natural US gyud .

The U.S. of A also have ICBMS, The "M.O.A.B." plus killer satellites, The JSF, The Raptor & The Modern Land Warrior. The U.S. is the most equipped, well trained Arm Forces in this modern era. Russia tried to tame Afghanistan before & they didn't even scratch the surface.

China invites the Philippines to maritime exercises

(Kyodo) _ China invited the Philippines to participate in planned multilateral maritime exercises focused primarily on maritime search and rescue operations, officials said Monday.

Chinese People's Liberation Army deputy chief of General Staff Gen. Xiong Guangkai said the Chinese proposal was put forward during the first defense and security dialogue -- envisioned as an annual event -- between China and the Philippines.

"The subject of this proposed exercise would be in the non-traditional security field, for example, search and rescue. The aim of this proposed exercise is to promote our ability; to enhance our capabilities to cope with the non-traditional security threats in the region and hopefully make the region a safer place," Xiong told reporters after meeting with Philippine Defense Undersecretary Antonio Santos, Jr.

The venue of the exercises has not been finalized because the activities will involve naval vessels from a number of countries, and China is still trying to coordinate with them, Xiong said.
