    The bottom line is eat less and burn more calories -- walk more, use stairs. If you are pressed in time, do your workout in 10 minutes intervals. You might want to check out foods with low glycemic index; higher in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats (the good fats) than saturated fat (the bad fat); and high in fiber. You are a nursing student -- you know what foods are good for you.

    There's no quick fix in losing weight. You have to make changes. Take baby steps -- set reasonable goals. Pay attention to how your clothes fit than the number on the scale.

    I lost my 'after baby weight' with South Beach Diet -- I went down from size 16 to size 9. I have 3 more sizes to go. YOU CAN DO IT. :mrgreen: Good luck.
