Any coup d'etat will not work...
Another EDSA thingy will not work...
    Violence will not work...

WHY? Most of the Filipinos are sick and tired of it to the bones, especially outside Manila like us Sugbuhanons. We can already see thru them (murag x-ray ba), their hidden motives, their self interests, etc...

Any short cuts, extra-constitutional means are just too lame in this day and age where people already matured politically and socially in a neophyte democratic country. The only concrete solutions they see are thru legal and judicial means...amen.

And if you think otherwise, wa tay mahimo ana ky inyoha man pud na. Basin nasobrahan ra mo pgka walhun or pagka toohon. LOLZ

How do you know that it was all the strategy. For all we know, it was just a trial baloon for bigger things to come. The EDSA people power style will not work this time. The GMA admin had already plug all the holes so that any uprising could not achieve a critical mass. For the coup to succeed it should be bullet against bullet. TV and radio stations shall be attacked first, then seize big military camps like Crame and Aguinaldo, capture Esperon and get the support of the field commanders.

I dont believe Trillanes is that stupid to stage an act like that if he was not thinking of something else. let's try to make a christmas wish list for balatucan:

    - bullet against bullet
    - TV and radio stations shall be attacked first
    - seize big military camps like Crame and Aguinaldo
    - capture Esperon
    - get the support of the field commanders

wait a minute. this sounds pretty familiar. is there a new version of Command and Conquer Generals that I don't know about? what a shame. are you telling me that EA Games sneaked a new one on me this time? you know what, drop that mouse and stop playing those video games. we're living in reality here not "virtual reality".

OT: one more thing: is this "the return of the comeback" of my good friend mosimos?

I dont know whats your point in reiterating my wish list. I guess its a tacit approval of my thesis that for a coup to succeed under the GMA administration, it must be a real coup, not something like a "withdrawal of support."

    BTW, who's mosimos?

so dumbed...he might have thought the 11 million votes he got (last elections) would buy him a coup to become the next president. tsk tsk...better of him to sell 11M fishballs... surely he would have more patrons to be the first soldier ever to become the fishball tycoon. hehehe

Palace blames Trillanes for LPG price hike

Amid the public uproar over the successive hikes in the prices of petroleum products imposed by oil companies, which include that of liquified petroleum gas (LPG), Malacañang yesterday passed the buck as it laid the blame on former Navy Capt. and now Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV, whom it accused of making life harder for the poor Filipino masses by inflicting further damage on the economy when he took over the Manila Peninsula hotel last Thursday and demanded the resignation of President Arroyo.

In a statement sent to reporters, deputy presidential spokesman Lorelie Fajardo stressed there are mitigating measures being done by the government to help poor Filipinos cope with the oil price hikes but Trillanes, along with other Arroyo critics have been impeding Mrs. Arroyo’s economic programs.

“This is the reason acts such as that of Senator Trillanes would make it harder for the poor to cope with the international oil price,” Fajardo said.

Now this is something ludicrous. Blaming Trillanes for the LPG hike is illogical nay stupid.

BTW, who's mosimos? my point is simple:

    1st attempt : Oakwood mutiny
scope of attack : cordoning of Oakwood Premier Ayala Center
    no. of mutineers : 321
    result : FAILURE
reason : lacks support from military, lacks support from people

2nd attempt : The Peninsula standoff
scope of attack : siege another hotel "the Pen"
no. of mutineers : 25 soldiers plus Trillanes, Lim, members of the media, priest, bishop, vice pres
    result : FAILURE
reason : lacks support from military, lacks support from people

3rd attempt : Fort Bonifacio cell
scope of attack : one prisoner runs amok and slaps his guard
    no. of mutineers : 1
    result : CLASSIFIED
reason : Trillanes finally lost support even from the kusinero at Fort Boni

    you just said it:

it must be a real coup, not something like a "withdrawal of support."

so the past coup attempts were just rehearsals? what do you mean by withdrawal of support? was there any to speak of in the first place?

after failing miserably the second time, if you're a soldier, would you put your life on the line "AGAIN" for Trillanes the third time around? the same guy who gallantly said "fight for our cause 'til the end" but eventually cowered with his tail in between his legs when teargas was thrown? how would a "private" look at this man who doesn't even know what word of honor means? would you support him? do you think "the Filipino people" would support him?

is that genuine support when you pay P200 each to people from Tondo to join your cause?
