Upgrading my pc, need advice..

Mga Bro,

I want to upgrade my pc, ok paba ang amd 939? mora man og obsolete na.. unsa may mas maayo ani.

1st option

Buy a AMD x2 4200 939socket -- cost me 4.5k
Sell my 3500+ -- sell for 1.5k

2nd option

Buy a mobo + processor x2 4200 am2 + memory ddr2 -- cost me 8k+
Sell my 939 mobo+processor 3500+ 1.5gig kingston hyper-x memory -- sell for 6k

save the hard drive, power supply, lcd and casing.

My set-up

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 939socket
1.5gig dual channel ddr400 kingston hyper-x
Jetway a210gdms-pro 939s mobo
74gig WD Raptor Sata 10k rpm
80gig WD 3gig Sata 7200 rpm
Antec smartpower 2 PSU
HIS x850xt PE 256mb ddr3, 256 bit pci-e w/ arctic cooling silencer 2 HSF
AOC 19" LCD widescreen

pilay max budget bro, kanang walay labot kung i-sell nmo ang old parts? if you can find a socket 939 x2..then go for it kung gatipid ka. otherwise i'd suggest getting a core 2 duo instead..medyo mahal lng nuon hehe

go for option 2. pero i dont think u can sell it at P6t. more on the range of P4-5t.

IMO bro, don't stick with 939, manglisod lang kag upgrade later on since newer AMD procs will be using the AM2 sockets

like what the others are saying.. upgrade to a new socket AM2. thats a new mobo and procie para dili lisod mg upgrade in the future. hth..
