    Double thumbs up!!!!!!!!
It's not that easy creed. let's say, you can create wonderful graphics, you can develop ai, and all those techicaniacl stuffs but the hardest part is how to create a playable game. That's the burden of game dev companies.

just dont want to discourage everybody, it's just dili sayon sayonon sulti nga 'that's a big money' ang gamedev kay daghan nagutman ani nga industry.
Playable game and Ai is the responsible of a programmer. Arnelmation is not a programmer nor a software engineer. But still a big money if he can work in people(programmers) that make him use of his skills.
Correction. To design a playable game is not a responsibility of a programmer. It is a responsibility of Creative Director/Game Architect/Game Designer with the likes of Sid Meirs, John Carmack (he's a programmer too), and Richard Garriot. While game programmer is with the like of Andre Lamothe and Jumbo.

lol, bai, kanang imong ai developer for games unsa may tawag nimo ana? Graphic artist? If yes, ask arnelmation if he knows that shit. And did I say arnelmation is a game developer?

I'm not talking about big names that you mention above, i'm talking about improvement.
You can get success with other people not just by yourself.

@gloryhunter what do you mean the hardest part when developing a gaime is to ... create a playable game?, what do you mean when you say "create a playable game".

im into game dev a little,. and that hardest part for me is the "story board".

do you mean "playable game"=="story boarding" ?

You said to have playable games is a responsibility of a programmer.

Take notethat game developer team is composed of unique skills and not just programmer and animator.

Game Designer/Director/Architect - mao ni ang gadala ug bida. he is the signature of the game. he directs and design of what should be the settings, the story, the feel, and the game-play overall. so 'playability' of the game is hist responsibility.

Programmers and animators are just implementors.

How many games did you see in the CD Network or in SM? How many of them were we able to play? There were just few like Blizzard, EA, MS games? Most them are just piece of crapolas and not playable. If the game fails, then it just because the designer doesnt have the creativity. Figure, I would rather play solitaire, tetris or pacman than those hitech 'Anito'. That is what i meant with playable.

Mismo....we are in the same domain.

If you read gamasutra, programming gems series, andre lamothe's books, they always state that fact.

    "Some programmers are game programmers".

The number is still few. We can solve that using Venn/Euler Diagram.

I'd say today's game is more like graphical rather than pong style. If people see those graphics on the TV or PC, what comes to our mind is Games or animation. And that's what Creed wants to say, If he can do this or that he can be someone.
