Hello everybody. Just registered today. I don't speak the dialect, but not too late to learn . I speak Tagalog, though. I enjoyed reading the threads, even though, I don't understand 50 percent of what was said ... needless to say the recipes are great and this site seems the friendliest site I've seen. So I've decided to be a member. Here's a recipe that I learned from my Chinese sister in-law. I don't know what she calls it.
GINISANG TENGA NG DAGA (black mushroom)

2.5 oz Tenga ng Daga mushroom -- chopped
1 can Water Chestnut -- chopped
    1 head Garlic -- chopped
red hot chili pepper or chili garlic sauce
    1lb ground pork or chicken
    soy sauce
    salt (optional)

    1. Saute garlic until it's wilted. Add pork, cook until it's done.
    2. Add black mushrooms and water chestnuts.
    3. Season with soy sauce and chili peppers. You can make it as spicy hot as you want.
    4. Serve over steamed rice.

Hope you like it. [br]Posted on: November 13, 2007, 09:15:33 AM_________________________________________________OMG!!! I forgot ... you're supposed to soak the mushrooms first until they double their size and then chop the mushrooms in the food processor.

thanks. I hope you'll enjoy the recipe.

DebutsAndIDo's: You can buy soft cheese at any grocery store. Use the rich Italian cream cheese - mascarpone or regular cream cheese. If you can't find cream cheese, ricotta cheese will do also.

That Tiramisu recipe looks good and light. The recipe that I have requires 6 egg yolks and 1lb cheese -- good for 24 lady fingers.

    Hope this helps

you can try putting powdered chicken bouillion instead of salt to give it that extra something special... and I think, the secret to really good fried chicken is to get freshly butchered chicken (di na moagi sa ref), season it then deep-fry and serve it hot!!!

Ako din taga kain lang until I met my hubby.... siyempre panay ang puri sa luto, sige naman ang pasikat...

I hang around sa lutuan, easier to understand food... Salamat sa offer mo mag-translate... family ng mister ko taga Bicol. Kung may gusto kang lutong bicol at alam ko ang recipe, tanong ka lang.

    salamat ulit
