Wala man ni follow sa standards ang Microsoft Silverlight. Instead of using SVG as a vector graphics. XAML ilang para ang user wala nay lain choice but buy their tools only.

silverlight is more for programmer who wants to be a designer. it will take much more than silverlight to beat adobe

Both has its own advantages coz microsoft develop that one to make things different. Both has its own advantages so for me I think I can't compare it.
