Romel Adducul hits the game-winning basket and saves Purefoods from losing it's second straight game after winning their first 7, 87-86. Adducul's game winning shot is his only basket in the remaining 3 quarters. However, Alaska head coach Tim Cone can't accept the loss and would file a protest. Cone questions two instances, one was Kerby Raymundo traveled before passing the ball to Adducul for the winning shot, and second, in the jumpball between Brandon Cablay and Sonny Thoss, Brandon Cablay ended up with the ball in his hands.
Alaska has until Thursday to file a protest and has to present the required P20,000 cash bond.
