Li'l Romeo: from hops to hoops
Actor/rapper Lil' Romeo is headed for Southern California to play basketball.
Lil' Romeo, whose full name is Percy Romeo Miller, is currently a senior guard at Beverly Hills High who averaged 13.9 points and 5.6 assists last season. His father, hip-hop mogul Master P, had tryouts with two NBA teams in the 1990s.
Jerry Colangelo interested in running Knicks
Tony Ronzone, the Pistons' director of basketball operations and chief international scout, knows a guy who could rescue the New York Knicks .
"Jerry Colangelo," Ronzone said.
Colangelo, who built the Phoenix Suns and Arizona Diamondbacks into championship-caliber franchises, is presently building Team USA back to gold medal status. Ronzone was hired by Colangelo as an assistant coach and scout for the Tournament of Americas championship last summer.
"I think that (cleaning up the mess that is the Knicks) is the kind of challenge Jerry loves," Ronzone said.
Isaiah Thomas unhappy w effort kicks players out of practice
A desperate Isiah Thomas kicked his entire team out of practice Monday. The Knicks' embattled coach was unhappy with their work habits.
The move comes on the heels of a six-game losing streak and amid increasing speculation that Thomas is on the verge of being fired. According to a source close to the team, Thomas tossed his players off the court at their practice facility in Greenburgh after he became frustrated with their lack of hustle and focus.
"It is a three-ring circus," said the source. "It's getting worse."
MORE ABOUT KNICKS
The Knicks are 6-22 since Thomas received a contract extension last March, believed to be worth $24 million. He revealed that he had a conversation with Garden chairman James Dolan "the day before yesterday (Saturday)," but he declined to elaborate.
There is a group of players that believes that Thomas is acting like he wants to be fired.
Thomas, however, is smart enough to know that he does not want to fight Dolan for his contract. Dolan refused to pay Larry Brown because he felt that the former coach had violated the team's sacred media policy.
Thomas apparently has learned from history and is careful not to say anything even remotely derogatory about the team, the organization and especially Dolan. But Dolan is upset over the daily leaks concerning the state of his team and likely will hold someone accountable. --> RUMORS
A little bit of a fun fact/trivia:
As of Monday (USA time), Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard had already recorded 39 dunks in the season. Howard himself alone had more dunks than 23 other teams in the league.
Injury report:
Tracy McGrady is about to return to the Rockets line-up in their next game. Houston lost all their 4 games without T-Mac.

Ehemmm... Duncan and Howard will square off. I remember Duncan told the media 2 years ago after beating the Magic in an elimination game.
" This guy (Howard) can beat the leauge someday. He's so strong and looks good on the board. I wish we can be teammates"
Howard has a great chance to be come a legend coz he is too young but the prowes of the kid is extra-ordinary... E checheck ko Sya...Originally Posted by koontz_circle
