HI peps


i was surprise to recieved a letter from PNP manila and OMD dated NOv 5 addressed tp my small cafe 12 units

with subject pertaining to RA-8293= intellectual property code phil and its dire consequences of none compliance

does anyone cafe owners here receive the same kind of letter?

by the way i have 12 xp home from nkai so these is all bull crap and i use only open office

but i have pvt servers like zypher mu3, aero ragnarok..etc

i have 1 cd only nba and other offline games

and yes i use free home use anti virus okay just like in many goverment offices!


would i be violating that st%%^d law

most of the offline games and pvt servers by the way i observed was also installed some even used diamon tools in some big cafes like le cafe the france , netopia .and othe big names

would i be in violation under my current set up? gosh even a lowly 12 units in a small electric fan garage cafe ,what a luck!

Sounds fishy. But ...

Private servers are a no-no. Daemon Tools to run games that you did not legally buy is a no no. You must have a single copy of every single game for every single computer ... or an internet cafe license of some kind like that offered by Valve. Saying you are on the right because others do it is not an excuse.

to verify your case, call nbi and verifiy that it is a valid letter from legal authorities.

mao ba , naa sumbong mmm ka bugok kaayao ni nag sumbong oist waa na ko labot sa ilaha klaro kaayo na xp pro naa pa gyud ms office , as far as i know there are only 4 cafe in the area including my smallest garage type cafe. the three of them being big 24+ up ,well i used to play adik mode on one of them until i got the idea and as far as i know only one of them are using xp home but all of them are using ms office and im the only one using both license home and open office all my offline games are the same like them.
