PowerColor ATI Radeon X1550 256Mb 128-bit
got same problem.. my pc restart![]()
usually kung sa gaming mo-restart ang PC, either video card driver or overheat and problem...
multi-task/run the pc at full load for an hour or so. but when i play games even old ones like frozen throne..mu restart cya after 15 mins
kay sa games raman mu-restart dili man pud inig gamit nimo ug apps.
uninstall then reinstall driver lang sa.. then e-check ang temp sa imong video card or probably naay defect ang video card nimo..
i have experienced this problem before. and the cause was my PSU. i changed it from generic to Task 450 watts and everything works as expected. don't just rely on a cheap PSU because if it damages other parts in your system then it will cost you more... as we all know prevention is always best than cure...![]()
hrmm i opened my case and so far wala na mirestart haha.
btw nag stability test ko niabot og 65 degrees ang temp sa akong gpu core pero wala man cya mirestart
Try video stress test and see at what temperature your videocard will shutdown or restart.
You can always try ati tool 0.27. And click the 3d view, there you can see the videocard temp rising while stressing the videocard.
I don't know if it will work on Nvidia cards.
I have this issue before I've found out that when I stress test my vc using ATI tool, my videocard always shutdown when it reaches 80c. And I have checked the videocard info using ATT tray tools it can withstand 120c. So obvously ang videocard BIOS has the issue.
Before you install your 3rd party cooler further test the videocard in other systems or motherboards if it has the same issue. If it the same issue then your VC is defective otherwise its your motherboard. If you have determined the videocard is having a problem before you install your 3rd party coolers RMA your videocard first or risk loosing the warranty and the cooler's precious thermal conductive tape on its RAM sinks. Since you have to remove it and put on the stock sinks again when RMAing it. Most likely 3rd party coolers cant resolve this issue if the videocard BIOS itself is defective.
After your recieve your new RMAed card then install the 3rd party cooler that is if you have determined the defect is your videocard in which its most likely.
Just try to test your VC on another motherboard to isolate the issue.
to know which component is screwed.
hrmm cge bro salamat sa advice ngita sa kog pde mu testing ani hehe
Stable pa ba ghapon ni till now if open ang case? If so, most likely heat gyud siguro... try improving the ventilation sa case.Originally Posted by Der FüHRER
Suspect sad na' imong videocard.... Inno3d's have a notrorious reputation for unreliability... most people end up changing the stock HSF kay unstable ilang inno3d... better to just have bought a better brand in the first place than to buy Inno3d.. cheaper pa in the long run.. less headaches.
PCI express man ni noh? 24 pin ba ang imong power supply? Basin not enough power is going to the card from your mobo kay 20 pin ra ang PSU niya.... that's also one possibility...
