kinsa may gi mumps? is it a child or an adult? kung bata, nabakunahan na sya ug para mumps? since mumps is viral, theres not much you can to do about the virus itself. we just have to let our immune system deal with it, but you can at least relieve the pain and fever (kung naa) by taking acetaminophen or ibuprofen but please check with your doctor about this first. and also kung bata and gi bayo-ok DO NOT GIVE ASPIRIN coz it can possibly cause reye's symdrome.

you can also use warm or cold compress to sooth the pain. drink plenty of water and eat soft foods but avoid the kinds that stimulates your salivary glands like kanang mga spicy, salty or sour food and of course get plenty of rest.

watch out for signs of complications, labi na kung taas ug hilanat ang gi bayo-ok. like for boys mumps can lead to orchitis or inflammation of the ovaries for the girls. if they start to complain about pain in these areas then better go to the doctor right away. if you have adults or children at home who did not get vaccinated for mumps then you have to be careful as well coz mumps are contagious.

aw imo diay mama. im not a doctor but i dont think aspirin is the best pain killer out there. did she try ibuprofen? kung balik balik iyang bayook then you have to be careful coz even though complications are rare, they are most likely going to occur in adults than in children. i rarely hear about bayo-ok nga mag balik balik kay once bayo-okon ka, our body will already build or have an immunity to the virus. maybe its better to consult a specialist like an ENT doctor for a thorough examination kay basin lahi na. it could also possibly be a blocked salivary gland.
