San Antonio is Dallas' opposite. Ang Dallas maayo kaayo sa regular season then they usually choke in the playoffs, meanwhile San Antonio would usually get into business come playoff time. What made San Antonio a lot deadlier than any other team is that they have kept their championship team. Key players Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, and Tony Parker are a part of San Antonio's last 3 rings. The drawback for the Spurs though is that these guys are not getting any younger, and so are their other reliable players Bruce Bowen, Michael Finley, Brent Barry, and Robert Horry.

Though, thinking short term, aside from being the defending champions, San Antonio is still among the teams to beat this season, and they even serve as the barometer for other teams aside from powerhouses Boston and Dallas.

The Spurs beat the Rockets 90-84 Friday night, avenging an 89-81 loss earlier this month in Houston.
Tim Duncan had a season-high 25 points and grabbed 13 rebounds and Manu Ginobili added 19 points for the Spurs (8-2).

At least Scola had 20 pts. His NBA career high, AFAIK.

But yeah go Spurs! Tracy or no Tracy, a win is a win!

Houston is still a team, Tmac in or Tmac out. They are formidable specially Scola is in the line up and been active. Yao Ming is getting better every season.

    Spurs all the way

Even if most people often describe the Spurs are "old, slow, passe, boring, tiniguwang" and other things. They're still as hard as a solid rock.
Mas lami pa sa Tanduay 5 years ug mas isog pa kaysa Red Horse (i thought about this for a long time)

Spurs are still considered as the best in the league even if they come into the playoffs as the 8th seeders. Kabantay mo? Bisan ug na-champion na ang Spurs 4 times, critics are still getting through loophools such as "spurs will never win the chip two in a row"...

Hopefully, Spurs will prove 'em wrong.

If you want to watch good basketball, watch how the Spurs play. They're not fancy but make opponents lousy.

Yeah, think I've heard that "Spurs are too old and slow" line for the nth time since 2004, AFAIK.
