Anyway, early in the year I posted a little something about Flash Fiction in reply to galenostiel's question.
Istoryan Writers: On Flash Fiction
https://www.istorya.net/forums/index....tml#msg2424051
On a whim, out of boredom and the need to tell a story-- I wrote three examples of 55 fiction, which is simply defined as writing a story in 55 words (excluding the title, mind you), just for fun.
Hope you enjoy
A WEDDING.
The priest turned to the bride, “Will you take him as your husband?”
Bright in white, the bride faced not her groom but a man who stood out from the congregation. His face was bruised, his two hands were broken yet these held her heart.
“I do”, she answered a year later as Sister Therese.
JUST THREE WORDS.
The daughter was at the door, penitent. “He left me.”
Her mother watched her, “Just three words.”
The daughter held her eyes and her pride down, “Told you so?”
Her mother's head shook a “No”, while the daughter tried again with “I love you?”
The older woman rolled her eyes, sighing aloud, “Mother knows best.”
THE NAME'S R.R.H, BITCH
“What big ears you got-- Grandma”, said Red Riding Hood.
“The better to hear you, child.”
“What big eyes you got too.”
“The better to see you dearie”, replied the Creature in bed, hiding inside the old woman's skin.
“What a big mouth you have... eat this!” Riding Hood aimed the shotgun, pulling the trigger.
