People are only human. We have our flaws and I think one of the reasons why we make or have relationships is to be with people who can accept our flaws when we ourselves sometimes can't. As with our best qualities, our worst qualities are also aspects of our individual identities.
I feel that as long as these insecurities do not dampen or hurt the interactions of a relationship, I do not bother changing the person I am with. If it isn't irritating or depressing and the person's functioning alright as a human being, why go the trouble of changing the person?
And zyLe is right when she implied that its best to leave people alone because only they themselves can overcome their fears and insecurities. True we can support them but we can only do so much. When it comes to these matters of selfdom and personal growth, people can only help themselves.
