xbox 360 3 red light error

anyone wanna share their experience about this M$ shit nightmare, any fixes or so.

I got my own xbox 360 fixed in i-tech, 3 red light error, my xbox was rpaired after 3 months of use from purchase, then it came back again after a week. tried to send it back in i-tech, after a week it came back again. stored it for at least 3 months in my closet, then tried to fix it myself after a lot research about this 3 Rings of Death, mine has something to do with the cold solder joint in the GPU area and RAM chips. its now playing fine, I still expect it to happen again.

this is just a piece of shit to buy. well i wont give up my expensive gadget since i already bought it. and damn no warranty since it is flashed (and i already disassembled this cheap designed H/W, looks like a PC rip-off inside with a SATA DVD drive). mine is asian version xbox 360.

I-tech repaired my xbox with a cheap fix, used just an electrical tape and cheap nuts and bolts as washers for the CPU and GPU heat sinks. my X-clamps are also gone, i-tech technician removed it.

and PS3 is so damn expensive shit to buy with a few games too.

well the Wii should be the best christmas gift this x-mas. buy now before its sold out.

Yeah I never believed the 3RL problem at start until it hit mine. It was under warranty and all that though so no worries for me. MS did own up the issue and cranked up the warranty to 3yrs for the 3RL. The extra heatsink they've added plus the new cooler Falcon chip seem to have fixed the problem also (well it's not that rampant anymore).

But I do feel sorry for those who opened theirs (voiding the warranty) to try and fix it themselves. I agree with you bout MS cutting corners with the machine to try and get it quickly to the market without properly testing it. Such a shame really when you compare it to the original Xbox. Man that thing was built to survive a nuclear holocaust.
