    Kevin Durant stays hot, Sonics not

    Kevin Durant --> 24 points, 10/19 FG, 3/6 3-point FG. Durant averages 23.0 points per game in his first 3 games

    Seattle lost, 101-115, to the Los Angeles Clippers. The Sonics allowed the Clippers to score 115 points who played without star forward Elton Brand. In their 3 games so far, the Sonics allowed their opponents to score an average of 113.67 points per night, compared to their 101 points per night.

    Seattle fell to 0-3.

    Big 3 beats Atlantic division champs

    Ray Allen --> 33 points, 11/16 FG, 7/11 3-point FG. Allen's season high.
    Kevin Garnett --> 23 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists

    Ray Allen scored a game winning three to give the Boston Celtics a 98-95 win over the erstwhile Atlantic Division champions the Toronto Raptors. Allen, Garnett, and Pierce combined for a total of 69 of the team's total points. The Celtics survived the 32-point performance of TJ Ford. James Posey and Eddie House both finished with double digits for the Celtics coming off the bench.

    No Wade, No way

    Jason Richardson --> 29 points, 6/11 3-point shooting
    Raymond Felton --> 19 points, 7 assists

    Miami fell to 0-3 after losing to the Charlotte Bobcats, 90-88. Ricky Davis' turnover proved too costly for the Heat who came back from a 16-point deficit to tie the game at 86-all with a little over a minute left in the game. For the record, Penny Hardaway scored his first NBA basket since Dec. 7, 2005 with 3:05 left in the first half.

    Dwayne Wade is expected to return to the team for practice but is still undecided as to when he'll suit up for the Heat after the offseason knee and shoulder injuries.

    Knicks ends woeful streak

    New York Knicks --> Ends 4 game losing streak against Minnesota, wins first home game of the season after losing 5 straight. It was the Knicks' first home opener win after for more than 6 years. The Knicks' last home win prior to the win over the Timberwolves dates back to Oct. 31, 2001 with their win over the Washington Wizards.

    Jamal Crawford scored 10 of his 24 points, and Stephon Marbury, after being criticized by Knicks coach Isiah Thomas during their opening night loss against the Cavaliers, added 17 points and 7 assists. Aside from breaking a 4-game losing streak against the Timberwolves, the Knicks won just their 2nd game in their last 14 games against Minnesota.

    Paul, Hornets bench saves the day

    Chris Paul --> 15 points, 11 assists, 8 rebounds
    Tyson Chandler --> 12 points, 17 rebounds
    David West --> 17 points, 13 rebounds
    Bobby Jackson and Rasual Butler (combined) --> 24 points, 9/17 FG, 6/10 3-point FG
    New Orleans bench --> 32 points (Bobby Jackson --> 13 points)
    Denver bench --> 23 points (Nene --> 12 points)

    Chris Paul's near triple double overshadowed Allen Iverson's 23 points and 8 assists performance, while Tyson Chandler and David West kept in pace against the Nuggets' prized big man Marcus Camby who finished the game with 8 points and 21 rebounds, as the Hornets defeated the Denver Nuggets, 93-88. Bobby Jackson and Rasual Butler bailed New Orleans out who got a subpar game from sharp shooter Peja Stojakovic who was limited to only 5 points and hit 1/10 from the fielf, 1/8 from behind the arc. Carmelo Anthony finished with 20 points for Denver.

    Denver outrebounded New Orleans, 54-53.

    The New Orleans Hornets stayed unbeaten, while according to Chris Paul, their offseason and training camp preparations paid off. They focused more on defense which clearly spelled the difference in the game, limited the high-scoring Nuggets to only 88 points and didn't allow either Iverson or Anthony to score at least 30 points.

    Short-handed Suns goes small, outplays Cavs

    Steve Nash --> 30 points, 10 assists
    Shawn Marion --> 23 points, 12 rebounds

    Phoenix played without star center Amare Stoudemire but still managed to survive the Cleveland Cavaliers, 103-92, despite being totally outrebounded, 40-51. LeBron James, Drew Gooden, and Zydrunas Ilgauskas combined for a total of 71 points but failed to gather enough support from their teammates. Gooden had 14 rebounds while Ilgauskas had 13 of his own.

    Phoenix virtually went on a 7-man rotation, discounting Marcus Banks who only showed up for less than 5 minutes. Cleveland went on to play with 8-man rotation too.

    Rookie Alando Tucker has yet to play for the Suns after the preseason, while DJ Strawberry never saw action after the Suns' 119-98 opening night loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.

    Kobe, Lakers, downs two conference champs in two nights

    Kobe Bryant --> 33 points, 13/19 FG
    Derek Fisher --> 19 points, 13/14 FT
    Andrew Bynum --> 15 points, 9 rebounds, 6/7 FG

    Coming off fresh from beating the reigning Pacific Division champions Phoenix Suns the other night, the Los Angeles Lakers defended their homecourt and defeated the Utah Jazz, the reigning Northwest Division champions, 119-109. The game is also Derek Fisher's first game against his former team, the team which he helped reach the Western Conference Finals. Carlos Boozer finished with 23 points and 12 rebounds while Deron Williams led the Jazz with 25 points but only finished the game with 5 assists.

    The City of Boston is one lucky place. They have the World Series Champions, The Red Sox and The Patroits stayed undefeated. The Celtics don't suck na. :mrgreen:

    Exactly!! And there are some rumors that Alex Rodriguez wants to be a part of the Boston Red Sox. 2008 could be Boston's year in sports.

    The Celtics' big 3 makes up for almost 60% of the Celtics' offense and almost 70% of it's total playing time. But the scary part is that James Posey is also delivering well from the bench. Posey is the only player aside from the big 3 who had a double-figured average in the Celtics' first three games.

    Up next for the Celtics are the Denver Nuggets, now this is really something to look out for. :mrgreen:

    (Ray) Allen vs Allen (Iverson)
    Melo vs Pierce
    KG vs Camby

    One game lang diay NBA karon? Rockets vs Mavericks.

    Nindot ni da, sixth man Mike James vs Jose Barea, nindot kaayo ug mga dinuwaan ning duha sa ilang last games. Houston has proved to be consistent, especially Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming, but it's their bench that has been doing the damage lately. They can prove it tonight against the much deeper bench of the Dallas Mavericks.
