The new A700 can be ordered already with the price tag Php 72,999.00.
Indeed the SONY PH overpriced again!

Sony US - DSLR-A700 1,399.99 USD = 60,966.06 PHP
Sony PH - DSLR-A700 = 72,999.00 PHP

Difference of Php 12,033 (This goes to Sony PH pocket! )

actually barato na na. and wow i cant believe how cheap it is in US dollars. here in finland the cheapest kit cost €1460 which is about Php92,000 or $2,110 in USD.

I say YES! Minolta is now Sony.
Hybrid combination of Minolta engineering with the CMOS technology of Sony.
More of these bodies will follow, A700 is the second body that SONY made for now.
A800 or something like A900 are on the way.

why not buy in the US?

Yes, Its best to buy in the US or HK maybe by December they ussualy less a hundred bucks on its tag.

It was being sold here in Cebu for P80k

That's a P4,718 difference from the P72K local SRP
