The long, lanky, athletic and scorer Kevin Durant. That was an awesome game. About his defense, i think he'll get there sooner. Those long arms will be his best asset in defense for the Sonics.

Speaking about the Sonics, they're heading to Oklahoma City.

"We notified Commissioner Stern that we intend to relocate the Sonics to Oklahoma City if we succeed in the pending litigation with the City, or are able to negotiate an early lease termination, or at the end of the lease term". Oklahoma City businessman Clay Bennett

SO, should we say hello to the Oklahoma Super SOnics? Unsa kaha ila monicker noh kung ilisan?

Oklahoma Oils? Oklahoma Oilers? Oklahoma Tigers?

^^The Celtics should give in to that one. Sam Cassell playing alongside Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett once again will do no harm and will do more good, plus his experience is a valuable plus too. though getting near 40 years of age, Cassell is still a very able point guard, and looking at his history, Cassell is a very big help for the Celtics. He has sent each team he played in to the playoffs, even turning some of them around into contenders like Minnesota and the Los Angeles Clippers. Though, salary cap issues will hinder sending Cassell to the Celtics. Either Kendrick Perkins or James Posey or both of them should be sent away for Cassell.

As for Sam Cassell, this is another "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em" scenario, just like Karl Malone, Gary Payton, and the Los Angeles Lakers in 2003.

Wow, CAssell at Boston is really something, the guy is a winner and he had won it all with the Rockets in the mid-90's alongside Hakeem and Horry unlike Payton and Malone who did not have rings when they came to LA

Mike James is really for real in Houston!! James delivered 17 points off the bench in Houston's 89-80 win over the Portland Trail Blazers. James is averaging 15 points off the bench for Houston so far.. And as usual, Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming once again led the way for the Rockets who went up for a 3-0 start.

Jose Barea on the other hand did great for Dallas. Barea finished with 25 points and 5 assists and hit 4/4 from behind the arc.

Barea + Terry + Harris + Josh Howard + Stackhouse + Jones == The best guard combo and the deepest guard bench in the NBA thus far.

    Great win against the Mavericks!!!

Joe Johnson swears he's never seen a sight like he saw when the dust cleared from the opening ceremonies. The sellout crowd of 19,767 at Philips Arena was the most raucous home crowd he said he can remember since joining the team two years ago. "That was ridiculous," Johnson said after the game. "If we keep taking care of business, they'll keep packing it out like this, and that'll be something to see." coach Woodson concurred, calling it the best opening night crowd he can remember in his four seasons as coach. "Our fans were great," Woodson said. "For me to walk in that arena and see that packed house, it's special man. It's just special. I just hope they keep coming back."

Sellout crowd sad. NIce. Naka-inspire siguro ang new unis oi and of course the rookies AL HORFORD and ACIE LAW IV. Am I smelling the playoffs finally? NOT until after 50 games siguro. Hehehe... But right now, I'm a bit optimistic my Hawks are gonna soar higher.

Next game is the other tough D --> Detroit Pistons. 'Sheed vs JSmooth.

It was a night of point guard show. Aside from Mike James being so consistent so far coming off the bench and Jose Barea with a career game on his first NBA start, Jason Kidd tallied his 88th career triple-double by registering 16 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists as the Nets defeated the Philadelphia 76ers, 93-88. Meanwhile on the other side, Deron Williams led the Utah Jazz with 30 points and 11 assists as the Jazz defeated their last season's second round playoffs opponent the Golden State Warriors, 133-110.

Washington Wizards' star point guard Gilbert Arenas is also worth noticing. Arenas, a noted scorer who can light up the stats sheets, was limited to only 10 points in 5/15 shooting and committed 6 turnovers in Washington's 94-82 loss to the Orlando Magic, very uncharacteristic for Agent Zero for having two straight bad games. Arenas had 6 assists though.
