Working as an engineer in Big Corporations either Multinationals and Phil. based you do a lot of technical quantitative analysis with the aid of state-of-the-art technologies, hardware and software but at the end of the day you come up of and deliver sound technical report and executive summary based on facts, figures and data which are calibrated, traceability established, passed quality standards protocol thus validated from the start to end of process line. High quality standard engineering school must educate, develop and train their students as future engineers in this manner. Thus their graduates are preferred in top leading big corporations in the Phils. such as San Miguel Corp., Nestle Phils, Pilipinas Shell, PLDT, Ayala Group, Unilver Phils, Proctor & Gamble, Aboitiz Corp., Petron, PNOC, Summit / Gokongwei Corp, Accenture, Lexmark, etc. These established companies which are ISO certified employ topnotch graduates from high standard engineering schools!

Maybe for small and medium scale companies which are still using conventional, manual and old machines / technologies they will not hire graduates from high standard schools because they can not afford and their company can not offer professional career development!

I am also interested in the issue of choosing an engineering school but in Washington. I have finally decided on the future profession of an engineer, it is very important that the school that you recommend does not include a huge number of written assignments in the curriculum.
