Damn.. just when I bought my first bt hp and thought I'm about to enjoy this shit some time this week
when I'm out on the streets, an rf emission test was conducted and then posted this video in the forum:

No experience with ebay, however, all my shipment from Japan via DHL in the last 6 months have been super fast and zero frills. I don't think you can find any LOD in the Phils bc nobody seems to care about things like that. Facebook marketplace would be the best place to scour for audio stuff but if you've done that and got nothing, you either shop at ebay or wait for eternity (lisod sad gani pangitaon ang pcie sound card diri atoa hehe).

Okay this has to be my final banter regarding the APM. People might think I am working for Apple ^{not even qualified to work there} bc I am shilling this hard for their newest product. I've never been hyped from a hp before. lol



Everything above screams premium. Listen. If this were made by, say, Fostex, Audeze or Mr.Speakers or Campfire Audio, this would set us back in the $3k (150,000php) minimum. Luckily though, only Apple has enough resources to produce state-of-the-art electronics craftsmanship by employing high status EE's in the market and still make profit selling its stuff at a reasonable price. So $599 is objectively a bargain imo.

Now, compare it to similar priced wireless hp (top: Sony, bottom: Bose) LMAO!





Anyone who denies this fact is definitely just a salty hater at this point.

Ni abot na gyud tawn sa tumang hinuwatay. Only 4 days shy of being two months of logistics procrastination but anyway, it was still worthwhile bc I don't even know where to buy quality air core chokes in the Phils. These Jensen coils came straight from madisoundspeakerstoredotcom and still weighs like a typical iron core chokes.

Paper bag is damped with bubble packing lined inside.

I just hooked everything up. I only used electrolytics bc it's laughably cheap, effective and easily available. Okay there's bad news and good news. The bad news is that there's a dip at the cutoff point ~2800Hz according to my sweep and that's after reversing its phase to 180° but it is only a narrow Q -2.3db which can be remedied by a simple eq. The good news is that, I couldn't notice it all with standard music although heavy vocal tracks seems somewhat melodic and smooth but that's about it. What bothers me is that I used these component values with the intent to overlap the cutoff ranges supposedly resulting in a +2.5db or +3db bump at the crossover spot bc I believe cutting is better than boosting no matter the Q. Oh well, it still sounds good to my ears.

Btw, using cardboard as a circuit board was a breeze. Fvck screws, Mighty Bond master race.

Anyway, here's the final eq for the Fostex:
2.8k+2db (obviously, duh!)
5k -1.7db
7.5k -1.2db
10k -1db
12.3k -1db
preamp gain -2db

With this, I can finally say it's done, all my systems sound near identical now and that was my goal in the first place so I wouldn't have to bother adjusting my ears and brain whenever I switch rooms.

so... I bought 2 kicker cvx15 subs which were sold really cheap off carousel. I tried to input its TS parameters in a program that calculates box enclosure accordingly. After a little tweaking of the enclosure size and port tuning, I came up with these target responses. It's almost as good as my reliable sealed vmax10 in terms of transients in the mid bass but with better extension at the sub frequencies thus, not boomy at all despite being 15 inchers. That's kind of a surprise knowing full well that these are entry level kickers. They will be powered by a spare alpine amp that I also really love.

Oh and btw, my two audio buddies ^{who don't have a lick of electronics ffs} came two nights ago for a good drinking session offered to listen to my system and said something really nice about it. For a fraction of the cost they spent on their system, mine sounds almost as good as theirs.

Straight from madisound again. Smells nice. Looks nice. Top notch build OMG! Expecting these drivers to live up to its name bc I've yet to test this and forumers are swearing by these two makers' reputation—a Dane (Peerless by Tymphany) and a German (Visaton).

I still have to make a draft enclosure ^{cardboard box only} for a 3 way set up. Woofers I'll be using are the ones from my vintage 3-way pioneer, whose tweeters and midrange aren't working anymore, and probably just modify its dividing network.
