NOTES:
To ensure uniform curing and avoid uncured spots in your mold, mix thoroughly by scraping the sides and bottom of the container.
Before applying/pouring the silicone over the model, make sure that the surface of the model does not contain, and that the model itself is not made of, materials that may inhibit the silicone from curing, e.g. sulfur for tin-cure silicone, and tin-cure silicone, nitrile, wood, latex, (among others) for platinum-cure silicone.
In the absence of a vacuum degasser, pour at a high distance from the model to stretch and pop the bubbles in the silicone into the lowest area of the model. Repeatedly tap, or place everything on a vibrating platform to release bubbles introduced while mixing.
When using the molds to cast certain materials like polyurethanes and other resins, make sure that the silicone mold is heated to release any substances that may inhibit the cast material from curing.
