Are we saved by faith alone, or do we need works, too?

so if ur not saying Good works is a separate requirements for salvation, the why are u against the idea of Faith alone can save us?

if its Not (Faith => salvation), then its should be (Faith + works => salvation)

it's simple Sir, the doctrine "Faith Alone" is only applicable to adherents of the Christian faith specifically the Protestants/Evangelicals which directly contradicts another Christian doctrine about God being all merciful and just. see the irony yet?

naa koy prime example ani daghan kaayo ni sa kanang fellowship sa simbahan.

every sunday they go to church, they do fellowships. but during the fellowship when it's not time for prayers or whatever rituals they're doing, they get to chitchat, but not regular chitchat, they get together in a group and back bite some person. grabi ang pang libak. sad to say, i've seen this kind of behavior first hand.

boss, in this aspect of faith plus work. i have to say that islam is better coz it's clear cut within their religion that you need to do things in order to be permitted to heaven. in terms of faith, you have to pray 5 times a day and always say to yourself that there is only one god. in terms of work, you have to fast during ramadan and perform Hajj even once in your lifetime, but the most important of all with regards to "work" is zakat, zakat doesn't relate to giving money, but the good things you've done to your fellow man. no mysteries there, right ?? every rule so to speak are laid out handsomely.

Yeah. Not bound by any rules. Just your own judgement of right or wrong...

You can socialize but should not speak bad things to other people that is just plain judgemental.
You can show the goodness of a person instead of his/her bad side.
Cannot judge a person if you don't know him/her that well.

You can't really judge a church by its members. The church is a hospital not a collection of perfect people.
Would be safer if you look at the church by its doctrines if it lines up what the bible teaches.
Specially to the laws in the bible.
There are many members who does not adhere to the teachings of their own church.
Being a member of a church does not equal automatic salvation you need to work out your own salvation.

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
