Who is the best doctor for ENT here in Cebu?

Just want to share my recent experience with Dr. Amparado of CVGH. I had otitis externa and he gave me oral antibiotics and painkillers. After completing the treatment I still have pain in the ears!!


I decided whether to go back to him or look for a second opinion. Of course I did not return to him... I tried to look for other ENTs and landed to CDUH with Dr. Segura.


It seemed that Amparado had misdiagnosed my condition. Imagine I spent 1k worth of meds and did not heal even. Now I have to take another set of meds and will have aural irrigation.


It feels so bad that a common disease gets misdiagnosed much more with wrong therapy and prolonged agony of the patient. I used to have my ENTs from Manila that’s why it’s my first time to have this experience of misdiagnosis here at Cebu.


If I won’t get treated with Segura I’ll let you know and look for other ENTs mentioned here.


Segura is at CDUH Borromeo Bldg, consultation is 500 and other procedures can have additional payment. He also has otic drops you can buy. Maybe prepare 1500-2k for consultation + medicines.

Pain killers are extremely tiny rope to walk on. It can seriously damage a nervous system in a long run. I'd suggest taking Modalert. It's the "softest" one around and it actually works kind like ethereal for me, but it was prescribed by the doctor. Check it here buy Modalert online.

I would like to share my experience with you last week. I suffered dizziness, felt like I am spinning and vomiting (di man pd q mabdos kay wa man koy uyab). Nabalaka jud ko kay i never felt this way before. So naka decide ko to find a doctor who can give me advice. Kay taga Mandaue man ko, niadto ko ug Cortes Hospital para mangutana kung unsay cause sakong pagkalipong. Ni adto ko ug Optal kay nag duda ko kung tongod ba sakong mata apan diay wala raman deperensya akong mata, unya ge refer ko nya ug ENT doctor. Ang pangan sa doctor kay si Dr. Dennis Villamor, iyang clinic naa daw sa Mandaue, Lacion ug Cebu City. Tuod man, niadto ko dayon sa iyang clinic sa Mandaue. Sa pagsulod palang nako, wa nako ka uyon sa tinagdan sa receptionist. Gatan aw ra jd ug tv ug wala man lang mo greet pag sulod nako. So nangutana ko when moabot ang doctor, apan mitubag kini ug pina busdak. So nilingkod nalang ko ug naghuwat. Niabot c Dr Villamor around 12nn ug sa pag sulod nya akong nabantayan nga murag dili sila kaila sa iyang receptionist kay wala jud tagad bsag gamay ug nidritso ra jd sulod sa iyang clinic. Gitawag ko ni Dr Villamor sa sulod, ug pina isog nga nangutana kung naunsa ko. Unya gpalingkod ko nya ug ge dritso ug lugit pag ayo akong dunggan nga pwerte naman gyud sakita. Natinga ko kay wala man lang cya mananghid nga iya diay lugiton. Gepaslakan ug mga gapas ang duha nako ka dunggan ug mi ingon cya nga balik daw ko after 2 days. Nangayo cya ug 2K kapin sa consultation fee daw to. Unya ang tambal iya ge resita worth 3K kapin. Hahays kamahala man jd pero ako nalang gepalit kay pwerting sakita sa akong dunggan after nya ge lugit2x. Nag think rako nga normal ra cguro ning kasakit nga akong gbati. Pwerting sakita unya bungol akong paminaw tungod sa mga gapas iyang gpampaslak. Wala gyud koy tarong tulog atong adlawa, ug nka decide ko nga e search iyang pangan sa internet. ug nakita ko dri sa forum nga bati jd kau iyang mga feedback.,gamahay ko ko samtang gabasa sa mga feedbacks. Unya naka basa ko ug post about sa pina ka maayo nga ENT doctor nga si Dr Gary Rivera. Pulos jd nindot ang mga testimony about ani nga doctor, so walay pag duha2x ge adto dayon nako cya pagka ugma dayon sa Cebu Doc Diaz Bldg room 321. Makita gyud nako unsa ni kamaayo nga doctor, kay anaa na gd nag atang mga patient bisag sayo na kaayo ko niadto. Ug sa ako nang turn sa pagsulod sa Clinic ni Dr Rivera, makita gyud nako unsa ka dako sa kalahian. Pagsulod palang nako, smile ra jd ang mga nurse ug si Dr Rivera ug mi greet nako. Unya ge tarong gyud nya pag check akong dunggan. Dili gyud sakit iyang pag check. Maayo gyud kaayo iyang treatment nako, iya ge explain nganong malipong ko ug unsa jd ang cause. Wala cya mag dali2 sa pag check, iya pa gne ko ge tudloan unsaon pag hilot sa akong ulo para pag prevent sa lipong. Mi conclude cya nga aduna koy Vertigo. Ge explain nya nako pag ayo unsay cause sa vertigo ug unsay treatments. Maayo jd kaayo cya nga Doctor. Ug nka gasto rako ug 600! o 600 pesos ra, layo ra kaayo sa 2K kapin nga gpangayo atong usa ka doctor. Kung kamo nangita ug ENT, dretso nalang jd mo niya kay garantisado gyud nga kamao ug maayo ug batasan. Ni share ko ani para pd ma aware ang uban nga kanang padong pa nangita ug doctore sa ENT. Para dili pd btaw mo ma pareha sa akong na experience. Basin uwahi ra ang pag mahay. Nagpasalamat jd ko aning forum sa istorya kay nka luwas jd ni cya nako. Diri nako nakitan c Dr Gary Rivera. I personally don't recommend Dr. Dennis Villamor. Grabe kaayo siya makalugit sa dunggan - dili angay sa mga talawan. Maka trauma. Mahal pa gyud kaayo ug singil

Ni drop by ko sa iya clinic sa CCDI to ask pila kaha ang posible magasto kung magpalimpyo ug dunggan pero ang iya secretary niingun nga di siya kahatag ug specific amount kay depende ra daw na after sa procedure. Haha. Mao diay kay mahal diay ug pangayo.
