if you can run things you need over linux, then why not? It just take extra miles opposed to windows.

this is my idea.

- no games just the office tools - using open office, chrome for internet... and a folder source for me to share with over the network..

now my question... pwede ba nako ma share ang let's say drive E or folder to the network? this is my target saving point para ang tig print sa ila documents makuha ra sa attendant.

yes, just install SAMBA server for the machine you intend to hold the file share.

Kinsa diri nakasulay na ug authenticate sa squid in pfsense with MS Active Directory... patabang unta ko... hehehe

either:
1) type nimo ang full path sa imong browser sa Command Line Prompt (CLI), or
2) add ang path sa imong environment, then type ang browser sa CLI

daghan browsers ang linux, naay full GUI (chrome, mozilla, etc) naa pud text based (lynx, etc)

You can set that device as a NAS (Network Attached Storage Server), I have not set up one myself so I wont be able to provide details or other pertinent information.
