The 13 hours movie (

Indeed, no man is an island. We play a significant part of a bigger system. Of course, being part of the solution should start on having a strong sense of identity.
For me, insecurities put one to a defensive side and away from being a generous, proactive one.
It takes the wholeness of self to be able to give. What can we give, if we feel that big missing part of ourselves.
How can we help in the problems of our friends, or of anyone else, if we also have our own issues?
And if we care for someone, some nations, LGUs or any entities, we should respect their decision to be autonomous.
As long as their affairs are not threats to human rights, it should be alright.
We, as a nation, have some threats of terrorism. Yet, we know God would be there to protect us. I do feel safe, living in Talisay City, Cebu, Philippines.
Each day of peaceful life is indeed a wonderful blessing to rejoice.
As a nation, I can say that we are growing more mature with governance on some aspects with the help of the active foundations like RAFI and other NGOs. It is true that politics should be separated from governance.
The politics part of our society though is quite a challenge. We really still do have the traditional politicians, those who cannot accept the reality that being elected should not gain power, it is about servitude and empowering all the other elements of the government and society - without mentioning ever their names.
I am just blessed to have access to information on the great aspects of governance through my brother's network.
It could be little baby steps for us, as a nation, yet we are getting there.
The youth is indeed the future of our nation. Let us empower them as we celebrate Youth Day here in Cebu.
Of course, thank you to all nations who have faith in the Philippines. Yes, we are in this together (as the song goes).
There is indeed, one race, that's human race.
We, of course, give thanks and honor, to those who protect the human rights and keep us safe.
And for each one of us, who plays the roles we love to do, always remember - “There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self.” ― Ernest Hemingway
