Update on this stocks automated alarm tool I am building...

I mentioned previously that I have already computed MA, EMA, and MACD so far.
So I am now testing the alarm in the real market.
I was looking a prospect stock to buy (good volume, price, and indicator values I have computed so far).
And I found MBT (Metrobank).

So as you see there, I set an alarm when MA(50) approaches or at a percentage of MA(200), EMA(12) approaches EMA(26), and MACD approaches the MACD Signal Line.
I set these alarm conditions based from what I have read so far on these basic indicators.
So the idea is, when these conditions are met, the app which runs every minute will send me an SMS and email alert telling me the set conditions are met.
If majority or if all of these conditions are met, that will be my signal to buy MBT.
But of course, I need to manually review the chart before doing the actual buy.
I have set aside some funds in my BDO Nomura so I would have readily accessible balance when this happens.

Will keep you updated guys on how it goes.

I will continue development for the other 2 indicators left (RSI and OBV) when I have some free time, probably weekends.

If you have suggestions, corrections, or questions about the tool, please let me know.
If there are also people who are interested in becoming a beta tester for the app when it is ready, please let me know too.

i'll just create a new thread when I am ready and when I have a more presentable prototype.
i did mention on my earlier messages that it would indeed be better for the app discussion on a separate thread.
but since I am still in the process of getting ideas and advise on the stock market and how it works, I kept it here for a little while.

but i agree i should create a separate thread ASAP. i'll do that maybe this weekend or next week.
i'll prepare screenshots and stuff.
naa lang koy gipang-unang laing projects, but I'll get to this soon.

if you could start with MA20, MA50, MA100 and RSI.. that would be much easier...

thanks bro for the tips. yeah, naa na koy MA9, MA50, MA100, and MA200 so i'll add MA20.
ongoing pa lang ang RSI - medyo madugo iyang computation kay iterative sad. hehe. pero for sure, i'll include it since it is one of the common technical indicators.
definitely i'll also include moving averages for the volumes too, or actually i was planning averages for all parameters volume, and %change or even for the indicators.

A preview of the stock alert alarm tool our team is building...

For example I am looking to buy BPI stocks but don't know the exact timing of the buy.
Currently, MACD and MA indicators say it is still not a good time to buy BPI stocks.
So I created an alarm that will send me an email and SMS when BPI's MA50 < MA200 and the MACD(26,12) < MACD Signal Line.
In the app, this is how it would look:


I know these are just too simplistic for the expert traders out there - but like I said, we are just starting with the basics.

You can also see there I have set some alarms for EW as I am also watching that specific stock as I bought it a while back.
You'll see that I can also create an alarm based on "percentage" comparing one indicator to another, as well as I can compare an indicator to the last price of the stock. Example - I can create an alarm when the MA50 is at 95% of the last price.

Just sharing - and we are still open to those who are interested to be beta testers (send us a PM) when we have the beta version ready.

honestly and sincerely, from my point of view, i am not hi-jacking the thread and that never was my intention.
my understanding is that this thread is about learning how stock market trading works by providing tips and tools that people can use especially for technical analysis.
from the first post of the thread starter, it says:

so the question would be, is a sharing a tool or an app or a project qualifies as trading resources? I think it is.

i would admit that the wrong move that I did was soliciting for beta testers, so I would like to apologize for that.
moving forward, i will no longer post screenshots, ask for beta testers, or share any specific features or developments of the project we are building. will create a separate thread for that if necessary.
i will limit myself in asking technical questions.
i just thought the project was gaining interest on this thread. people were kind enough to share their knowledge on where to get data and stuff, how to compute the indicators, etc.

dili bro. im sure bright ka nga tawo. im sure kasabot ka nga thread hi-jacking ni. imo man na gi journal ang progress sa imong app (nindot na imong app). dapat magbuhat jud ka og imong thread ana. masulod na sa trading resources imong app kung usuable app na jud na. og bisan pa, dapat gihapon ka magbuhat og imong thread about sa imong app.
