Tagalog is the base of the Filipino language and the Filipino language is an artificially-constructed language even up to now nga ginadungag-dungagan lang ug borrowed words from the other Philippines languages. It should be interesting to know however which of the Philippine dialects/languages is most widely spoken as a first language, I've read somewhere that it is Cebuano/Binisaya

I don't see any logic in the thread title either.

Modernized Education? Not unless we abolish useless filipino (tagalog) subjects

Now, will the quality of education improve if we abolish filipino subjects? Will it make our education more "modern"? I don't think so. Once again, we're barking at the wrong tree and give the wrong solutions.

am not so sure sa percentages, but most of the Visayas and Mindanao inhabitants speak Bisaya and even some in Masbate and the islands directly south of Luzon island speak Bisaya. Can't say the same for Tagalog, because Luzon has its own mix of languages unique from Tagalog. Even some of the other languages in the Vismin area has a striking resemblance to Cebuano e.g. Waray and Ilonggo

exactly, it does not only take taking out subjects but to strengthen how subjects are taught should be a better alternative. usahay man gud subjects are taught without reference to its relevance to social issues, kana unta ato dapat tutukan
