as far as i know the only people who had better lives that time martial-law marcos era, were people who worked in the government. which is why i was asking you if you are working at that time. if you were working for the government that time then you might had a better life that time.

Lets say:
1. The president done a good job in preventing crimes and rebellion, people feel safe doing business, and will result into better GDP
2. The president done a good job with its economic policies, more investors come and will result into better GDP
3. The pres done a good job in minimizing damages from calamities will result into less economic losses and will result into better GDP
4. The pres done a good job in preventing political turmoil will give investors confidence and will result into a better GDP
5. So on and so forth..

Conclusion: Therefore GDP is a good measuring tool on how well a country is managed

Bro, we must also consider nga dili ni tanan trabaho sa President. Like sa imong number 1.

Sa panahon ni noynoy, bisan nag kagidlay na ang internal affairs sa Pilipinas, SAF44, innocent people getting robbed, mugged on the streets, apil pa gani ang mga bata nga way buot rape-on. The country's GDP was still robust, ni peak bato one time at 7%, and we even made it to the number 2 spot.

On no. 2 economic policies does not necessarily mean we will depend on one country (US and the it's little brown brothers - as quoted from a statement), means nga maayo na dayon ang dagan sa GDP, even karon nga ang atong economic policies are veering away from exclusive to inclusive growth, and veering away from the US mindset, to other countries like Russia and China, our economy is still robust. Daghan factors ana, noynoy obvious was not that good of a President as compared to digong, or Gloria, pero our economy remained robust in it's growth.

What I'm aiming at is that GDP is not dependent on the President or his acts alone. Yes, he could influence it, but it is not his sole responsibility or act alone.
