I just enrolled in Chong Hua Hospital Mandaue's OB-Package Deal. First is you have to go to the SOCIAL SERVICES desk inside the Admission office for the application and orientation schedule which is every Monday to Friday at 8AM to 5PM. You will be asked to fill-out some forms if have already decided to enroll.
Package for NORMAL in LOW RISK or WITHOUT COMPLICATION:
* P8,000 if you can donate 1 unit of BLOOD (any type) and if you have Philhealth
* P5,500 if you can donate 2 units of BLOOD (any type) and if you have Philhealth
For those without Philhealth but would deliver normally without complications, you can still enroll & pay the following:
* P11,000 plus 1 unit of BLOOD (any type)
* P 8,500 plus 2 units of BLOOD (any type)
In case you would go for a Caesarean section, you are required to pay P20,000. For high-risk or with complications, P20,000. For preterm/ pre-mature delivery, a partial payment of P20,000 will be required upon admission. And in case the baby will be admitted at the NICU, estimated expenses is P15,000 to P20,000 DAILY. Also, accommodation for all packages whether normal or caesarean is at the OB WARD where in 2 days is at 50% discount. According to my friend who was admitted there before, their ward rooms are spacious and clean with airconditioner with only 3 to 4 patients per ward.
The said amount/s can be paid thru installment every prenatal visit. But since I am already 26 weeks pregnant when I enrolled last July 8, I was asked to pay the whole amount of P8k for the normal delivery package. After filling-out the forms at the Social Services, I was asked to go to the OPD (Out-patient dept.). Just approach the nurse and they will hand you another set of forms to be filled-out. The nurse will also schedule when will be your first pre-natal visit with the list of labworks to be performed prior to your pre-natal visit. Proceed to the Laboratory with the list of labwork. Again you will asked to fill-out some forms and be given a charge slip with the amount to be paid. Then next to go to is the RADIOLOGY for your ultrasound. Same thing to do is fill-out some forms and secure a charge slip. You can either proceed to the BILLING dept to pay for the labwork, or pay it later when you already have the money for it. I paid a total of P2,390 (labwork) + P910 (pelvic ultrasound) with discounts already deducted. Without the discounts, you will be asked to pay P4,500+. So this is already a big savings for us. After paying, you can now have your labworks performed, except those that will require you to fast for 6 to 7 hours. Just ask the Laboratory staff for instructions to be sure.
I just had my first pre-natal visit this morning. The OB who checked me was very patient in answering my questions, she also gave me advises and explained my situation (i'm 40 y.o. w/ my first baby) thus I'm on the HIGH RISK side. The nurses were also approachable. The OPD opens at 8AM so go there early to get your priority number. Also, don't forget to bring your OB Package form with you. If you have any questions, you can call Social Services at (032) 233-8000 local 82211 - 82212.
Hope this helps.
