i was able to buy a packet of "saffron threads" sa robinsons fuente supermarket. gi bitay ra siya dapit sa vegetables around 30pesos kapin ang isa ka small packet. wala pa nako nagamit though, so di pako ka ingon if it tastes really good. but i doubt if this is real saffron, because the price is way too cheap. according to the articles i've read here sa internet, some label their products as saffron, when in fact it is safflower or "kasuba", which can be a substitute for the real saffron esp. when making paella.
