    Default building Web Server


    your real experience in bldg (design and implementaton) of web server will be greatly help

    i want to build a web server for testing at present i have the following as part of the testing environment:

    static-global ip
    good internet connection
    hosted private domain name
    desktop pc w/ win xp sp2

    the web server will be handling database transaction and ftps for the time being.

    Sounds simple enough. Add an A-Record to your domain name to point to your static IP. Set up your web services ... then you are done. Virtual hosts can be handled by Apache.

    Do you mean writing/coding an Http server?

    I have a simple embeddable http server written in C, if you want it I can give you the source code. It was made to handle very simple queries - its small footprint allows you to run it on embedded systems. You can fine tune the number of connections it can handle.

    O btw, it uses pthreads for multithreading .... so it only runs on POSIX environments ...but it shouldn't be difficult to port it to other systems though (even DOS).

    install linux server
    static ip
    domain name.

    config mo ang apache mo..
    php
    mysql.

    yon lang ata..

    hope naa pa maka suggest.
