dugay naman ning in ani na product for parallel computing on a PCIE. nag una ani kay ang Intel themselves (Intel Xeon Phi). pero, before, dili man mo support ang mga ordinary productivity apps sa ani nila. mga Enterprise, Scientific, Medical and Eng'g applications (mura'g ang movie industry apps, apil pud) ang mo utilize aning parallel computing.

sa mga special HW for video editing, naa gyud ni for sure... like gamit sa mga production companies sa Hollywood... for sure, those HW are the same sa gamit sa scientific, eng'g and military apps...

but for us consumers, for our HW, basin kaning new product (as posted) compatible ni sila sa consumer grade electronics... ang pangutana kay ang price tag... kun pila pud kaha ning mananapa ni...

for the PCIE lanes, right now, PCIE 3.0 pa man ang gamit sa desktop mobos... about 16 GB/s (x16) man ang speed nya. ok ra man ni for parallel computing... the GPUs are faster than CPU in crunching for floating-point calculation. kaya ra man sa PCIE 2.0 and 3.0 (x16)...

maka enjoy ani ang mga production work load like sa mga video editing (commercial work loads) para maka bawi... sa gi post ni TS, maka lisang nang HW configuration baya sa accelerator card... price ana nya kay equivalent ug isa ka desktop... hehehe...

for 3D rendering work load (engineering/ architectural apps), mas better gyud ang naka multi-GPU renderer config kay pas2x man ni sila compared sa CPU based rendering apps... tungod man gud ni sa brute processing power sa GPUs in floating-point computation.

sa video editing & creation, mas ok gyud pud ang output sa CPU compared sa GPU encoders... pas2x lang gyud ang GPU encoders pero quality wise sa output, medyo inferior gamay sa CPU encoders ang GPU encoders in terms sa video (content creation) work loads. this might be changed in the near future though... it all depends on the apps...

naa exemption ani... kun ang video editing apps naa'y mga certain function na mo utilize sa GPU, aw, mas pas2x pud ni sya...

naa diay diri sauna nag post about sa Tesla card... GPU accelerator card man pud ni. wala gyud ko maka tabang ato kay I have no first hand experience in configuring a Nvidia Tesla card. naka suway hinoon ko'g gamit sauna ug workstation with Nvidia Quadro and Tesla GPUs on ANSYS pero, kadali ra pud. naa lang ko'y gi simulate na PMU IC on Wireless Chip Scale Package (WLCSP) for SanDisk sauna...

Pila kahay power consumption ani sa? Based on the looks, mura siya ug mini laptop without the screen. 80W-140W TDP? If iya jung i split ang processing power, most likely U-type processors iya gamiton to save energy.

Based on the specs niya, naa gyud nis mga $2000+ dollars kapin.
