But there are some who deviated from its fundamental teachings and compromised its core doctrines to fit into a non muslim society in order to be peaceful and avoid any radicalism.
Sometimes the moderates are even victims to fundamentalist due to them compromising and deviating from the purity of their faith.

I've read in somewhere in these threads that you admitted yourself to be once a Christian, converted to Islam (and still is nominally a Muslim) but an atheist at heart. Is this correct?

but i'll just go ahead and answer that question in your head ( i'm guessing ) to why i'm doing this. joining a religious discussion.

simple really, since i also am one of those people who had a lot of questions regarding these terrorist and since i am here in the center of muklo-land ( one hour away from makkah ) i was able to at least be satisfied with what the answers the prominent muklo-figures in our area have given me. and thus, i'm sharing it to you ....

Thanks for the answer. I suppose that, in order to be treated better, it would be best for you to identify yourself as Muslim and do what every Muslim does. Do you pray 5 times a day, fast during Ramadan, etc in your current country of residence, Saudi Arabia? Would you dare confess to the mutawa that you're an atheist at heart?

yep. and they are very open with me, in fact, they enjoy our religious conversations they keep on "hoping" that one day i'll truly embrace the existence of a god. but that ain't happening.

Pardon me for being skeptical, because when I see news like this Man ‘sentenced to death for atheism’ in Saudi Arabia and when the late King Abdullah re-defined atheists as terrorists, you can understand where I'm coming from. People usually don't associate religious freedom with Saudi Arabia. Are you saying this is a wrong perception?

and as for that news, yes, you will die here with apostasy. that guy and my situation is different. that guy posted his denouncement in a video and had it spread in social media, while me, i don't go around saying there is no god. i just make constructive conversations/arguments with the imams and mutawas about me not believing in a god and yet has converted to muklo. ( very personal reason, not religious that i converted ). Everytime i go there, the islamic school, they always greet me with have you found God yet?. but my reply is still the same no but still, they are hopeful that i will be a "Straight" muklo one day .. but that ain't gonna happen

So you are a "muklo" after all, just not a "straight" muklo. Is this correct? When you say you go to the Islamic School and they greet you, I suppose you go there because you work there?
