The last two updates are so fcking disappointing specially MAVIS! No better word/s to describe her! I dont know how Hiro made up a sissy character this weak. Maple syrup peanut butter jelly ultra fragile 1st guild master! The Weakest and the most spineless out of all anime/manga characters I've come across since Asuna! I mean, she just dethroned Asuna!

I think Hiro has run out of steam. He is basically ending this with "Power of Friendship" crap worse than Bleach.

Rave Master had a better story. I mean, FT is clearly a recycled work off of Rave Master.

After all those volumes and all those talks of how strong the main antagonists are, this is all he could come up with as the last arc? I'm still wondering why I follow this series til now hahaha

but paps, since you're so knowledgeable about comics and it's structure. What pressure does these authors have when they have their works published ?? Just like with Kubo, they said that the publishers pushed him to end Bleach ... are they the same as tv shows that if the ratings go down, the studio will have it cancelled

When they're not having fun enough paps. That's it. Some lean on big production studios such as Shonen Jump for funding purposes and when that happens, we audience can expect unfinished works or prolonged agonizing ones. A good example is Gangsta. Afaik, the team disbanded due to unfamiliar territory. Meaning, some of the members want it to go mainstream, others dont want to. Result? An unfinished comic book. Log Horizon is also a victim of corporatism. Authors like Kakizaki Masasumi, Junji Itou, Kawashima Tadashi are just some of the pros who avoided extended publicity in the western parts of the world. Another example is Erementar Gerad which was a very good manga that got axed out of the blue because of corporate intervention. Almost every popular japanese animations and comics are under contract with big advertising companies.
